Raw Material

Above all, the raw material used in shipping cartons is crucial. All Çıtırtılı Sesler record shipping cartons are made of E+B imported Kraft rigid double-layer cardboard.

So, what does E+B mean? The purpose of corrugated cardboard is to reduce potential impacts on the record surface by bonding two layers of different properties and thicknesses between them, creating a more durable structure.


Why wasn't a thicker material like C-flute used? This is due to the packaging dimensions. As the packaging size shrinks, thick-flute corrugated cardboard becomes more difficult to fold. Because of the large size of the record shipping boxes, C+B corrugated cardboard was used.


Is impact resistance solely determined by thickness? No. The second most important parameter in this regard is the hardness of the raw material. There are two different options in our country. The first is a domestically produced raw material called "Testliner," which is softer and more suitable for food packaging. The other is a harder, more impact-resistant, and much more costly material called "Imported Craft," used in Çıtırtılı Sesler Record Shipping Boxes.


Size

Another important factor in record shipping is size. The shipping package should be the size intended for the record being shipped. Patches cut and glued later increase the risk of damage during transport.


In addition to having a single record-sized shipping package, Çtırtılı Sesler also offers options for shipping various quantities of records. This allows you to combine multiple records for a more secure shipment. Product titles indicate capacity options such as "2-3 units" or "7-8 units." Another issue is the creasing of the cardboard. It's important to ensure that the creasing points are correctly adjusted and placed, taking into account the material thickness. This way, the boxed product can be used without any additional taping. The easiest way to achieve this is to use a different die cutter for each record shipping carton.


Things to Consider for Those Shipping Records

First, the records must be prepared. To respect the value of the records and to earn the trust and respect of new listeners, the records must be meticulously cleaned before shipping.

The records should be removed from their original cardboard sleeves and placed behind the sleeves with a record sleeve. This sleeve should be placed in a triple protective plastic wrap.

The records should be creased and stretched in the correct direction at the creasing points of the cardboard.

The records should be placed inside the cardboard. If they are too small for the cardboard, you can secure them with paper tape to prevent them from warping during transport.

A "Supporting Cardboard Mailer Filling Pad" should be used to fill the vertical gaps before closing the shipping carton. This process both increases durability and secures the records during transport.

After the shipping carton's tabs are correctly positioned, they should be fully sealed with tape to prevent them from opening. It's crucial that the tape adheres to each other, minimizing the risk of the box being opened.

After applying the necessary warning labels to the shipping package, attach a label with the recipient's name, address, and phone number.
